Disneyland is called the most magical place on earth. A place where we leave the real world behind and join a magical fantasy word that fills our hearts and souls with childhood excitement. Justin and I had a great trip in May, we were in the area for a friend 10 year vow renewal. It was fun to experience the parks as adults and be in the kid mindset for a few days!
I can say that Justin and I enjoyed being in the park at night, the crowds were much smaller and as much as we love the hustle and bustle of excitement, kids and families. It was really fun to head into the park for late afternoon and enjoy until late in the evening. This trip we wanted to capture great photos but also not stress about it the whole time! We worked with Jenny of Jenny Megenney Photography and we had an amazing sunset session in the park!
So the point of this post is the share my favourite photo spots, so lets get going! I really like to capture photos without people in the background and at Disneyland that can be a challenge. But just have fun with it, and you’ll capture some amazing photos!
Twirling with the Teacups
This was probably at the top of my must have list for photos at Disneyland! I love the colours and whimsical feeling of the teacups. Jenny and I jumped on the ride and found the perfect colour to match my outfit and had a blast capturing these photos!
We were doing a mix of couples photos and some just for me, Jenny knew the perfect spot on the side of the castle to grab some romantic photos of us before we braves the crowds and got some shots in front of the castle. Since its renovation (we were day right as it reopened) the castle is absolutely stunning!!
King Arthur’s carousel
I knew I wanted to jump on the carousel for some photos, this was was a bit tricky to work out the angles and spot with Jenny, but we made it work! It was lots of fun and had us all laughing! If you can try to get a spot near the bench for the person taking photos!
don’t forget to grab some photos in front of the carousel too!
Mickey’s Ferris WHeel/ California Adventure
We ended the shoot at golden hour in California adventure! It was so dream with that golden California glow! We played around in front of the ferris wheel, I grabbed my Mickey grad cap and it was the perfect way to end the photoshoot!
We did a 2 hour photo shoot on this trip and we both felt like it was the perfect way to capture awesome photos and allow is to enjoy the rest fo our trip and not worry about the photos we had to take! I loved my red and gold Micky t-shirt i had customers made by Belle and park, she is amazing and so helpful to create anything you want!
I would love to hear what your favourite spots in the park are for photos!!
* Thank you to Disney for gifting us passes for the day to experience the park! All opinions and statements are my own.
